You will need:
- 2 small or large hair ties (whichever size you use for a ponytail)
- 2 scrunchies (small for thin or short hair, medium for medium and thick hair, large for long and thick hair)
- 1 hair brush or comb
- 2 medium or large hair ties (optional)
- 2 bobby pins (optional)
To create this look:
- Smooth out your hair with the brush or comb and part your hair down the middle.
- Gather your hair on one side of the part and collect it into a ponytail where you want the space bun to sit.
- Secure it with the small or medium hair tie so it is a ponytail, and then wrap the ponytail around the base so it becomes a hair bun.
- Secure the hair bun with the scrunchie.
- If you want extra hold on the hair bun, use the larger hair tie to secure the bun in place before adding the scrunchie.
- If you’re worried about the scrunchie slipping, secure it to the bun with a bobby pin.
- Repeat on the other side.
